About Yarmer Renewables

A small team and a lot of solar panels across Devon and Cornwall

How It Started

We started Yarmer Renewables as we have a passion for environmental sustainability. We wanted to provide properly designed solar and battery systems to help people move towards grid independence in an energy volatile world.

Being based in South Devon, we cover all areas from Plymouth to Exeter, down into Cornwall and across the South Hams. Our work consists of residential and commercial installations up to 50kW.

We carry out onsite surveys where we engage with the customer to understand their needs and their goals with the practicalities of their property and budget. We then provide multiple design options and you deal with us throughout. We endeavour to make the process as stress free as possible.

How We Work

Get It Right First Time

MCS accredited, NAPIT registered, years of residential and commercial installs under our belt. From stone barns to new-builds, we pay attention to the details: roof structure, cable routing, aesthetics.

Kit That Lasts

We install a number of manufacturers including Aiko, Sigenergy, Anker SOLIX, and Fox ESS amongst others. They work and we can get support when something goes wrong. Every system has remote monitoring so we can keep tabs on performance without bothering you.

Aftercare, Not Lip Service

We monitor every system we install. If your generation drops or something looks off, we'll usually spot it before you do. And because we're local, not a national outfit with a call centre, we can actually get to you quickly if something needs fixing.

Yarmer Renewables Installation Process

The Process

  • 1

    Site Survey

We come to your property, check the roof, look at shading, and talk through your energy use. Honest assessment, and if solar won't work well for you, we'll say so.

  • 2

    System Design

We design a system around your property and your usage: panel layout, inverter sizing, battery if it makes sense. You get a clear quote with no hidden extras.

  • 3

    Installation

Typically 1-3 days depending on system size. We're on site for every install. We're tidy, we're careful with your property, and we keep you informed.

  • 4

    Commission & Monitor

System tested, monitoring set up, everything explained. Then we keep an eye on it remotely. You'll hear from us if anything needs attention.

What We're About

Install solar systems that genuinely work well for the properties they're on: not oversized, not undersized, and built to last 25+ years with minimal fuss.

For You

A system that cuts your bills, works reliably, and gets looked after properly. Straightforward service from someone you can actually get hold of.

For the Area

More homes and businesses across the South West generating their own clean electricity. Every install helps.

Long-term

Each 4kW domestic system offsets roughly a tonne of CO2 per year. Do that across hundreds of roofs and it adds up.
